These masala lentils are so easy to prepare, but are packed with so much flavors. They’re a bit crunchy, earthy, full of Indian perfumes and the peas add a sweet pop when you bite into them.

1½ cup sliced mushrooms
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp tandoori spices
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 cup brown lentils
3 cups vegetable broth
1 cup frozen green peas
salt
